Best Method For Headlights

Do your headlights have a foggy-hazzy look to them? Maybe you have noticed your visibility at night or during the rainy times is much lower. No worries you don’t have to replace them , nor do you have to open up your lens as many people think the haziness is from the inside of the lens. Most of the time its not.

Best Method For Headlight Restoration Process

I don’t use a generic headlight repair kit that you find at your local auto parts store. I go through a full 8 sanding, compound, polishing and protection process to offer the best results.

1. Starting sanding headlight with 500 grit

The first round of sanding is where the oxidization is removed. You’ll see a lot of slurry come off..

2. Sand headlight with 800 grit

As we move up the process we remove less oxidization. The focus now is to refine the sanding marks.

3. Sand headlights with 1,500 grit

You can start to see a noticeable difference in the clarity of the headlights.

4. Sand headlights with 3,000 grit

This is the final sanding step. The headlight is looking much better

6. Compound the headlights

Using a polishing pad, compound and machine polisher, we’ll remove the sanding marks.

7. Polishing the headlights

Finally, I will polish out the maximum clarity with a light polish and polishing pad

8. Protecting the headlights

For protection, I will apply a 1 year Headlight coating sealant for UV protection durable protection. This method will last you 2years..
